What are the different types of keywords matches in Google AdWords?

Ans. Keyword matches are classified into five types:

·       Broad match: This is the match type to which all of your keywords are given by default. Your adverts will reach as many people as possible with broad match. Your advertising may show in searches including misspellings, synonyms, and similar terms. So, if your keyword is “hats,” someone looking for “sun hats” may come across your ad.

·       Broad match modifier: It works in the same way as the broad match. The main distinction is that it displays advertising in searches that include words beginning with a plus sign “+” or near versions of “+” phrases. As an example, +hats

·       Phrase Match: Ads will display on searches for phrases or close versions of such phrases.

·       Exact Match: Ads will be shown exclusively to those who search for your term exactly.

·     Negative Match: Use a negative match to specify when your ad should not be displayed. For example, if you’re selling kitchen towels and don’t want customers looking for bathing towels, choose “bathing” as a negative keyword.
